The Bible is the inspired authority and infallible Word of God for mankind. It is the standard by which we judge all other teachings, and it clearly gives us guidelines on who we are in Christ and how we are to live.

Over the years, God has influenced many men and women to write books that are useful for augmenting what we learn in the Bible. One such author is Mark Cahill.

Evangelism for a lot of Christians is a scary thought. It is hard for some of us to approach strangers. We may not know how to introduce Jesus in ways that will make someone want to listen. It takes some practice, and all of us can do just that if we have the right tools. It is important for us to understand one critical thing. We only have the opportunity to share Jesus when we are alive. Once we are in heaven it is too late for all those we encountered and left behind. It will then be someone else’s blessing to introduce them to Jesus.
One such tool is Cahill’s book. It takes us through the importance of our witness as well as ways we can approach those we meet.

According to Cahill, we cannot lose when we present the gospel to others; it’s always a win-win situation. Often we’re not sure how to introduce salvation to those around us, yet it is our service to do so. Cahill takes the time to pose questions that can open conversation.

He explains how to use tracts which present the plan of salvation and provide Bible references to support it. Cahill makes it quite clear that we are expected to tell everyone we meet about Jesus. The Bible doesn’t command us to make people believe; that’s entirely up to the individual. We‘re supposed to let them know they have a choice: one of eternity in peace or one of eternity in torment.

An eternity in peace can only be obtained through belief in Jesus Christ as God’s Son, sent into this world to be a final sacrifice for all sin, and resurrected into life and ascended into heaven where He awaits His true believers.

Jesus Christ commanded us to tell others about Him. Known as the Gospel or the plan of salvation, it entails accepting Jesus as Lord and Savior through faith, believing in Jesus’ sacrificial death on a cruel cross to provide all mankind an opportunity to spend eternity in heaven (a place of eternal peace, wellness and joy), and His resurrection and ascension into heaven to take His rightful place as our Intercessor and direct access for us to the Father. Finally, we are to confess that belief and commit our lives to Him. I cannot imagine spending eternity without Him.

We have to remember we are not the ones who are being rejected, but Jesus Himself. What does happen to us after we are no longer alive? We get to let those around us learn this answer. Check out Cahill’s One Thing You Can’t Do in Heaven and discover a world of blessings that await your sharing Christ with those around you. If God asks you why He should let you into heaven, what would be your response?
