What’s on My Mind

Christian Community Church

I would like to introduce myself.  My name is Brian Danielson and I’m a follower of Jesus Christ.  I’m a student at Virgin Valley High School and I’m also one of the youth leaders that teach the small group study, Snyago on Wednesday nights at 6:00 p.m. for 13-18 year old youth.  I’d like to take some time to tell you how important it is to have Christ as your personal Savior.

I want to start off by saying that I know how it feels to have a hard life.  I was taken away from my birth mom and had to go through some pain in my life.  But now I’m going to be adopted and that’s because of God.

Now I ask you, “Why did Jesus come to earth?”  He came here for a reason.  He came here for you, for me and everyone on earth to save us.  John 3:16 says, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life.”  He did this because He loves us.  You’re probably asking, “What did He do for me?”  He died for you.  You need to ask yourself if you can on without Christ.  The answer is no, you need Him to be your Savior and to forgive you for all your sin’s.  “Wait a minute, I never sinned,” you may be saying.  But we’ve all sinned – I have and you have.  Romans 3:23 says, “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”  Because of that we are cut off from God and being cut off from Him means we are looking at eternal punishment.  Romans 6:23 says, “That if you confess with your mouth Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.”  This is the only way to escape that punishment I was talking about and to be with God in heaven.  You need Christ because you can’t do this by yourself.  Ephesians 2:8-9 says, “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God not by works, so that no one can boast.”

This all may sound rude but it’s the truth and I can’t go on seeing people act like it’s no big deal.  You can’t go on forever pushing away the fact that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and that He died for you sin when He didn’t even sin.  He took your punishment and mine on Himself and you need to step up and believe.

When you started reading this you may have been thinking, “This is another person trying to tell me that my lifestyle is wrong.”  What I’m trying to tell you is that you NEED
Jesus Christ.  The message of Jesus Christ is for everybody, not this or that religion, but everybody.  Everybody needs Christ.  If you’re saying you already have a religion, that’s good, but it has to line up with what God says.  You need to look at yourself and see if you’re right with God.  Not what you think is right or what others think is right, but what He says is right.  So I ask you to come on over to Christian Community Church so that you can grow in your relationship with Jesus Christ.

Thank you for reading what’s been on my mind.
