Life’s Priorities
By Bev Sullivan
We need to constantly remind ourselves how fragile and fleeting life is. Every day is a gift from God, don’t miss out on God’s best for your life. He will give you wisdom to use every day, use it according to His purposes.
Make it a daily practice to thank God for each new day. Don’t forget to acknowledge basic blessings, such as your freedom.
Worry changes nothing, it’s a waste of time. Prayer can change things because prayer has great power. Share your concerns with God and trust Him to answer your prayers when the time is right.
Stop looking for satisfaction in all the wrong places.
Your work can not satisfy the need within nor can your accumulation of knowledge, material possessions or personal pleasure. Make God your top priority and a sense of peace and fulfillment will fill your needs. True contentment doesn’t depend on external circumstances, but on internal peace that only God can give.
Don’t allow bitterness to enter your life, instead pray for the ability to forgive as He has forgiven you. Ask God to search your heart and show you areas of sin. Accept God’s grace and expect that the more you submit every part of your life to God the more wisdom He will reveal to you.
Enjoy the seasons of your life. Rely on God as you travel though them. Each season is a learning experience that can bring positive results. Life is unpredictable, but your faith in God will always stand. He will give you encouragement and strength in all things.
God has created all human beings to engage in relationships with each other and with Him. Make sure you invest time and effort in relationships that will bring you joy.
As Christians we need to support each other. Church is a great place to develop lasting relationships with people that care.
Christian Community Church is a caring community of committed believers, who care about you; body, mind and spirit. We constantly seek to further the gospel of our Savior and to learn more about Him as we stay close to God through Christ.
